ABOUT MANGO HILL BOOKS
Crafting Creativity Beyond the Stories
Mango Hill Books is an independent publisher based in Queensland, Australia.
It was born from the passion of an Italian-Australian author with a lifelong love for books, writing, and… planners. A former software help desk technician, over the years she has amassed an embarrassingly large collection of diaries and notebooks—eventually reaching the final stage of addiction: designing her own. She even took up the craft of bookbinding, creating handmade journals with fabric covers and whatever materials sparked her imagination.

She lives in a small town on the edge of the forest with two dogs, two outrageously spoiled chickens (yes, she’s a proud Crazy Chicken Lady), two sons, and only one husband. The family is completed by a possum who has taken up permanent residence in the attic.

She refuses to write at night—not for lack of inspiration, but to preserve the comforting illusion that her house is free of (large) spiders… those charming creatures that only seem to emerge once the lights go out.

When she’s not designing or crafting imaginative journals, she steps into the shoes of Vale(ntine) Wintry, getting lost in fantasy realms while writing dark, sci-fi-flavored stories populated by tormented characters.
As Isabel Giustiniani, she is deeply immersed in historical research, reconstructing ancient civilizations and the lives of the figures she loves to bring back to life. Since 2013, she has also curated Storie di Storia, an Italian blog dedicated to history, historical fiction, and the great events of the past.
She also provides English-to-Italian translation services, as well as proofreading and editing for manuscripts translated into Italian, helping authors ensure their voice feels natural and authentic to readers in Italy.
