Isabel made her debut in 2015 with a historical fantasy novel spanning multiple timelines—from 1st-century Galilee to 15th-century Constantinople, and finally to Egypt during the 2011 “Arab Spring.”

She then decided to delve further into Egypt’s past, exploring the early 20th-century events surrounding the discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb. From there, her curiosity took over: she wanted to tell the story of the pharaoh’s death, then venture even further back to the dawn of the Eighteenth Dynasty. And then…

In 2026, Isabel finally decided to rein herself in. Instead of setting each new novel earlier than the last, she chose to shape a coherent, structured series where events finally unfold in (more or less) chronological order.

Thus was born Heirs of the Gods, a saga that blends historical accuracy with the thrill of adventure. It recounts the monumental events of Egypt’s Eighteenth Dynasty not only through the eyes of pharaohs and legendary figures but also through those of ordinary people: the beer-house maid, the tomb painter, the healer, the guardian of the necropolis, and many others whose lives history forgot.
