ARC TEAM

Mango Hill Books ARC reader
Thank you for your interest! Before you apply, please take a moment to read the full guidelines on ARC program:
✨ What is an ARC Reader

An ARC (Advance Reader Copy) reader is a volunteer who receives a free, early copy of a book before its official release. ARC readers share their honest thoughts with other readers through reviews.

At Mango Hill Books, we consider our ARC team a vital part of our publishing family: your reviews build trust, create excitement, and help our stories find the right audience.

✨ How It Works

We aim to make the process as simple as possible. Once you are selected for an ARC, you will receive an email with the link to download your digital copy.

  • Format: We provide files in EPUB format, which is compatible with Kindle, Kobo, and most e-reading apps.

  • Delivery: Our ARCs are provided through BookFunnel for a smooth reading experience.

  • Reading Period: You will usually receive the book 2 to 4 weeks before the release date, giving you plenty of time to get started.
✨ Review Deadlines and Policy

We believe reading should be a joy, not a chore. That’s why we offer a flexible deadline:

  • One Month Window: You have up to one month after the release day to post your review. No pressure, no rush.

  • The "No Ghosting" Rule: We are very understanding if life gets in the way, but communication is key. If you don't post a review and don't reach out to explain why, you will be unfortunately removed from the ARC team for future releases.

  • Where to post: Our priority platforms are Amazon and Goodreads, but we also love seeing your reviews on StoryGraph, Bookstagram, or TikTok.

✅ Approved disclaimer phrases:

  • “I voluntarily read this ARC and received it from the author.”
  • “This review was based on a complimentary pre-release copy.”
  • “I received a copy of this book via the publisher and I’m reviewing it voluntarily.”

❌ Please do not write “I received this book in exchange for a review” — Amazon may flag and remove it.

✨ Paperback Copies and Giveaways

As much as we’d love to send paperbacks to everyone, as an indie team, we currently provide digital ARCs (EPUB) for the initial review phase. However, we have a special way to reward our most engaged readers!

For every full-length novel launch (excluding novellas and short stories), we will hold an exclusive giveaway at the end of the one-month review window.

How to enter:

  • Post your review: Share your honest thoughts at least on Amazon and/or Goodreads within the 30-day review window.

  • Submit your links: At the end of the 30-day window, we will send an email to the ARC team with a link to a submission form. You will simply need to paste the links to your reviews and social media posts there.

  • Enter the Giveaway: Upon submitting the form, you will receive the official link to enter the Giveaway.

The Draw:
The lucky winner will be randomly selected using a dedicated giveaway app to ensure total fairness. The winner will be announced 15 days after the submission form closes, and we will contact them via email to coordinate the shipping of their physical copy of the book, featuring exclusive interior graphics. It’s our way of saying thank you for your incredible support!

✨ Content and Ethics
  • Honesty First: We want your real opinion. If you didn't enjoy the story, that's okay! We only ask for respectful feedback.

  • DNF (Did Not Finish): If you can't finish the book for any reason, just send a quick note to arcteam@mangohillbooks.com. It helps us understand if the book was a good fit for you.

  • Anti-Piracy: These files are for your personal use only. Sharing, distributing, or uploading them to AI training models is strictly prohibited.

By applying, you agree to follow these guidelines and help us bring new stories to the readers who will love them most.

The Oblivion Gates is the first book in the Chronicles of Neiuar series, a multi-POV dark fantasy/sci-fi saga that plunges readers into a universe of adventure, violent passions, and moral conflict.

An ancient barrier.
Two worlds.
One lie.
Good and Evil are but two versions of the same story.

Faithful to a millenary alliance, the elemental shape-shifting warriors known as the Wardens watch over the border between the realm of Men and the lands cursed by a plague now lost to legend. For over four centuries, neither the infected nor enemy armies have appeared on the horizon.

When a multitude of exhausted exiles reaches the Barrier seeking sanctuary, Solanya rebels against the Gathering’s blind refusal. But in a world forged by shadows, mercy is a dangerous gamble. She ventures into their camps, only to find something unexpected. What is the unknown artifact that young Nekrem calls a key-device? And who are the beings hunting him, willing to do anything to reclaim it?

Torn between the kin of Men and that of the Wardens—an outcast to both as a half-blood—Solanya will discover that the line between Good and Evil does not run along the walls of the Barrier.
And she already crossed it in her mother’s womb, while clutching the hand of her twin, the dark mirror of her soul.

✨ Is this series right for me?

This series is intended for a mature audience. It contains adult themes, violence, and complex moral dynamics.

Content / Trigger Warnings:

  • Violence and death
  • Adult themes and occasional sexual content
  • Complex family dynamics (including twincest)
  • Coarse language

Romance:

  • Slow-burn romantic arcs unfold throughout the series.
  • Relationships develop with maturity and unexpected twists, but romance is not the primary focus (this is not "Romantasy"; no mating tropes or formulaic beats).

THIS SERIES IS FOR YOU IF YOU ENJOY:

Immersive world-building, flawed and badass characters, and thrilling adventures that explore the vast grey areas between right and wrong. It is a story about the fight to survive in a world that forgives nothing and the hope that keeps it alive.

Perfect for fans of The Witcher, Dune, and Joe Abercrombie.
